Recertification

Prepay for your recertification by selecting your certification type at the bottom of this page, then use the drop down menu (above the quantity field) to choose your tool type and get the correct pricing.  Be sure your serial number beginning letters (PF, PFA, AC, GH, etc.) match the selection you have made for recertification.  Prepayment will include the shipping for us to return the tool to you.  You will need to pay to ship the tool to us.

Please use the "view cart" option to add a note to your order with your serial number(s) and recall time frame if you want a different time table than recommended below.  A purchase order number could also be noted here.

Please return your tool in the original padded storage box provided at time of purchase, and place in an outer shipping box.  If you can not locate your original box, carefully package your tool for shipping and purchase a replacement box below.  We will ship it back in the newly purchased replacement box.  Note: There are no padded boxes available for the wooden tools or precision squares.

If you do not send your tool in the padded storage box, and do not purchase a replacement storage box, this will delay your order, as we will be contacting you to purchase the replacement.  We will not ship unprotected tools.

• Tape Measures:

Tape measures are easily damaged.  This makes a set time frame for recertification unreliable for accurate measuring.   Checking your tape measures with a Lixer Tape measure Calibration Tool will increase the likelihood of finding damaged tape measures.   It can also be assumed that if the End Hook has not been damaged then the rest of the tape measure will be in sync with the certificate of calibration provided with your tape measure.

Our recommendation would be to check your tape measures daily or weekly, or when ever critical measurements are made.  These checks should be recorded in a log such as the Tape Measure Inspection Log provided with your tape measure. This log could be provided to your auditor for "Best Practice" compliance. Tape measures that are damaged or worn should be replaced.  A one year cycle would be typical for this type of tool.

Replacement of Tape Measures that become worn or damaged is recommended over recertification

• Recertification of Tape Measures is NIST Traceable.  Price varies by length of tape measure. 

Use Pre-Pay for Standard or Pre-Pay for Metric tape measures and select the length of your tape measure from the drop down menu (above quantity).  Go to "view cart" to add your tape measure serial number in the ''add a note to your order" section.  Send a copy of your order # with your tape measure.
